This jar came from eleven hives on the northern edge of the Waldviertel, worked by the same family since 1968. The bees forage clover, lime and buckwheat, which is why no two years taste alike — a good spring gives a pale, floral honey and a dry one a darker, resinous batch. None of that fits on a 40 mm label, which is the point of this page.
On bread, in tea, or stirred through yoghurt.
